About Us

The Sunflower Foundation is a fundraising vehicle set up by the family and friends of Karen Sitek. All of the funds raised will be donated to Cancer Research UK. The Sunflower Foundation raises funds solely “on behalf of” Cancer Research UK.

We plan to raise funds by holding several events during the course of each year. These can range from live music events, driving holidays, beer festivals, golf days, horse racing days and fun runs. The main theme of these events is to have fun and to raise funds by doing things that we enjoy doing!

Even though we work solely “on behalf of” Cancer Research UK, we do have a professional prepared Constitution in place which you can download by clicking the link below. The Sunflower Foundation also has a structure of professional people at its helm which consists of a Chairperson, a Secretary, a Treasurer and a team of four further Trustees.

Our goals are to raise a minimum of £10,000 per year for Cancer Research and to make as many young people as possible aware of the dangers of smoking.
